I am Jenny Stanley.. ... I love to write songs and sing like it's the last chance you'll get to hear it." Usually found somewhere on the Brighton gigging circuit impressing people with her looping technique, (mainly due to the killer heals she's wearing.) A very determined young lady who's main aim is to change the current climate of singer songwriters.. "I Like to pick you up and pop you into my strange world for a little while. Surely if someones done you wrong it's better to write a song that makes you feel empowered, rather than to sit there with your guitar looking miserable."" Using a looping pedal to blend a mixture of beatboxing, breath taking harmonies, guitars, flute and anything else she can lay her mits on! She finely tunes each song to take you off an a different adventure everytime. To finish this off is a voice that can only be described as unique not only in range but in it's emotive tonality. Not a word that can still be commonly used today. Her favourite quote from the year so far has been from Russell Sayers; "You have a lot more voice than your smallness suggests. I would like to book you for my wedding/funeral - whichever comes first." She does infact sing very loudly so loudly that it seems to be getting her heard around a bit; here are some of the bigger events she has done so far this year.... Glastonbury Festival, Pride, Brighton Fringe festival, Headlined Axbridge Funday Festival(she love love loves the Axbridge lot more than words can desribe), Lesfest, Rock against Racism (official Glastonbury warmup,)Out of the Ordinary Festival, and has also been named one of BBC Somersets rising stars of 2008....Exciting times :-) .........................................if you wanna book her please e-mail jenny_stanley@hotmail.co.uk for any enquiries.
