Already at the age of 23 yrs, Laura has gained a wealth of experience in the music industry. At the age of 16, Laura worked along side Telstar Records in London where she spent 2 years as a Singer/song writer along side London Producer Rishi Rich. Along with Rishi she then moved to London based record Company 2Point9. In 2000 Laura won the Kiss FM New Talent Award and decided to concentrate on writing music for herself. In late 2003, Laura left the rat race in London to spend more time working on herself as an artist. In doing this Laura moved her focus to a style of music she felt more comfortable in, Soul, Jazz and R&B. Being influenced heavily by artists such as Jill Scott, Floetry, Kindred the Family Soul but to name a few! Laura’s music live is something not to be missed with it being compared to the likes of Jill Scott and Maxwell, those influences must have really paid off! But the here and now, Laura has been nominated as one of the top three in the UK Unsigned Song Writing Contest 2007 ,had her music played on American soul radio station 4DA Soul and has hooked up with London based UK Garage Producer Sunship, and OJ Beatz. Laura is also a Backing singer for Asian R&B singer Jay Sean and sang at BBC 1xtra Live in Coventry alongside Chris Brown, Akon, Kelly Rowland, Craig David and many more. Just recently Laura has been mixing her style of writing with a more electro/soul Vibe. Laura is back with her new style and as she’ says “I’m doing it my way”.
