06 Aug 2008 09:00 PMUNITED KINGDOM : East SussexSince leaving the Shiseido neston his solitary flight into the unknown Paul has hooked up with some great new musicians to bang out some tunes with! He has been collaborating with the fantastic Nigel Ball on guitar, bass and the occasional percussive egg!! Also his long time friend embob has been making beautiful sounds on the backing vocals; this combined withTessa and her gorgeous violin is all working out rather well. He has also been playing the keyboard which seldom got a live airing with Shiseido. And so things are coming together nicely and he is absolutely delighted with how it's all sounding. Paul Diello and his unique backers are gonna be playing a little debut show at the Black Lion pub in The Lanes, Brighton next weds 6th August, about 9.00, it would be great to have as many friendly faces there as poss so if you're out and about next week, pop in for a beer and some music, it's free entry! |

The first gig since shedding the shiseido skin...the new crew did a grand job, but it was the solo pieces that stole the show. VOODOO DOLL, the new and brilliant HELICOPTER and the gorgeous FLAME had the crowd silenced. Diello can only go from strength to strength with this new freedom to express the way he does best. This young man and his piano are a mighty force...addictive viewing. |
