Biography

afterspark accidentally wrote some songs together at the start of 2006 and since then have played on various radio shows and at gigs and festivals across the country.
Introduced by a mutual friend, founding members Cate and Adam play, write and listen to different music, argue over individual chords and words and disagree on key political and philosophical issues: In fact, they have only their love of music, and their left-handedness in common.

Over 6 months, they went on to make an album containing 10 songs about a life lived in 12 months. Recorded in their conservatory and self funded, ‘Sometimes We Forget’ is available on CD and download at afterspark.co.uk.
In the spring of 2008, Cate and Adam were joined by Ed, who helped produce ‘Sometimes We Forget’, and Jude, another mutual friend. The newly doubled band now draws on 4 multi-instrumentalists to create a dynamic mixture of soaring vocals, foot stomping rhythms and subtle textures that range from the tiny sublime to the beautifully unflinching

afterspark are currently writing, rehearsing & recording new material and playing gigs all over.
