Biography

Born in a stable.

Lloyd Daly was in the RAF, and to avoid the inevitable moral issues of whether to go to war or not, picked up a guitar instead. Barney Douglas immediately decided that in no way, shape or form was this arsehole of a best mate gonna look cooler than him and also decided to learn.

Continuous one upmanship and a love of great music carried us on, Barn being more of the prolific writer and a bit of a genius, and Lloyd just being better looking and generally more of a legend. The Charge officially formed in the summer of 2007 and started gigging in November '07, with Gavin Shoosmith (drums) and Kevin Ling (bass) completing the rythm section.

By loving music, oozing talent, talking bollocks and having extreme dramas in spectacular fashion The Charge has taken on a life of it's own. Currently rehearsing their dynamic mix of big dance beats, bluesy rock n roll, impending juggernaut melodies and Mani-esque basslines; the band have just completed their first 3 track demo.

Giving it beans in 2008, having played and headlined at The Providence, The Hope, Pressure Point, Greenhouse Effect, The Prince Albert and loads more. More headline slots in the next few months include The Stash night @ The Hope on October 4th and Kulture on October 28th. The Charge are also in the last 50 of the Absolute Live competition.

With a huge stockpile of great songs The Charge are not even out of first gear yet.

Hi I an Neil otherwise known as Nelly. I am a drummer but play a bit of bass and guitar if the feeling takes me. Currently not in a band. But I am a presenter on the UK's only internet Biker radio station. I am looking to promote unsigned bands on my Thursday night programme. THIS DOES NOT COST YOU.
