San Toy are an alternative/rock/reggae five piece from Govan, Glasgow. We don't claim to sound different from everyone else, we only try to be as original and keep our music as true to our own expressions as we can. started in 2003 as a group of friends. By 2005 we had a settled line up ready to write and record our own material . Initially we wrote more than 20 songs which we whittled down to 11 for our live set and album. 2006 saw us take to the road whilst recording the tracks for our first album. We had 2 songs distributed on itunes and some other digital music sites in 2007. Unfortunately, we had to annul the contract with the distribution company as it was not in the best interests of the band .After extensive gigging in 2007 it led us to a support slot for Jerry Dammers at the Glasgow Arches. 2008 saw us back in the studio writing and recording new material which we hope to showcase live in early 2009. Our main influences are Pink Floyd, Men at Work, Bob Marley ,Scheme, Verve, Ozric Tentacles, Cinematic Orchestra, Rage against the Machine, Neil Young and Led Zep.

Hi I an Neil otherwise known as Nelly. I am a drummer but play a bit of bass and guitar if the feeling takes me. Currently not in a band. But I am a presenter on the UK's only internet Biker radio station. I am looking to promote unsigned bands on my Thursday night programme. THIS DOES NOT COST YOU. I intend to do it because I love music and have been where you guys are now. I know what it's like to try to get yourself heard.
