Left Hand Red are a Brighton-based, indie-rock quartet formed in the summer of 2005. After spending two years building a strong collection of songs, 2008 saw the release of their third demo E.P., ‘Transition’. With the help of Brighton cohort Ali Gavan, who had previously worked and played with Electric Soft Parade amongst others, the band laid down the E.P. and the result was a top-drawer studio recording which retained the menacing rawness of their live performance. The E.P. gained positive reviews and helped Left Hand Red to gain slots at The Beachdown and Brighton Live festivals as well as playing a string of other successful shows around the south of England.
The band is in the ascendancy and 2009 will see the release of their debut single ‘Rope Burn’. The song is one of several new tracks that look set to be their most exciting material to date. Going down a storm when previewed at recent gigs, they confirm the band’s consistent song-writing abilities show no signs of slowing up.
With word spreading and fan-base growing by the day, Left Hand Red have everything in place to make 2009 their most successful year so far. The single is due for release on Monday 6th June 2009.
Left Hand Red are highly watchable diamonds in a straight-up rock genre littered with bores. Their recent Transition E.P. is well worth investigating.- Ben Miller, Critic, The Argus

Hi I an Neil otherwise known as Nelly. I am a drummer but play a bit of bass and guitar if the feeling takes me. Currently not in a band. But I am a presenter on the UK's only internet Biker radio station. I am looking to promote unsigned bands on my Thursday night programme. THIS DOES NOT COST YOU. I intend to do it because I love music and have been where you guys are now. I know what it's like to try to get yourself heard. If any of you guys would like to hear your sounds on the radio, drop me a line. Believe it or not, bikers dont just listen to Iron Maiden and Motorhead! Check out the website at www.bikerfm.co.uk and drop me a line through here if you think I can help you get your songs heard. nelly@bikerfm.co.uk |
