iMMa – A pulsating delivery of Hard Rock that reaches the parts other bands cannot reach. iMMa (the project) started off as a band in the summer 06 with the line-up of Erika Footman, Jonas Jalhay and with session players to make-up the rest of the band. After constant back-line changes, Jalhay the other half of iMMa left to join Them Is Me at the end of ‘07. So Footman decided, being the only constant that iMMa should become a solo project, thus Footman becoming iMMa. The partership between Jalhay and iMMa did not however end. After writing together for the past five years they still continue to write together and Jalhay still plays in shows as a session player in-between tours. iMMa is an orgy of diverse hard rock delivered with tremendous self belief, and zeal. The world might have a looming energy crisis at present, but there is no shortage here. There is enough to light up a small city. Despite iMMa’s pre-gig nerves the stage is her own. Fear evaporates: she taunts, she flaunts, she rocks, but more importantly, she delivers. Huge vocal range, huge talent. With her band behind her these four musicians morph into one huge sound, feeling each others every movement and instinctively knowing where each other is going. They make the hairs on your arms stand to attention with every song. These are early days for iMMa, but you really get the sense that something has arrived on the rock scene that hasn’t been around for a while.
